To stimulate an interest in older roses of all kinds

  • roses no longer widely grown
  • roses of historical interest
  • special roses and their hybrids

To help members grow and enjoy these roses, to conserve them and to study and research their history

To promote the diversity of roses and their excellence as plants in the garden landscape

To conserve roses bred in Britain and Ireland before 1950, locate information about them and establish a collection of those no longer in commerce
