Thursday 3 October @ 10:00 am - 5:00 pm£48
This year our AGM will be held in the Birmingham Botanical Gardens, Edgbaston, starting at 10am for 10.30am on Thursday 3rd October.
We are delighted to have as our guest speaker Nick Bailey, horticulturalist, author, award-winning columnist and garden designer, and regular presenter on BBC TV’s ‘Gardeners’ World’, where in 2018 he gave a three-part series on the history of roses.
The 15-acre Birmingham Botanical Gardens, designed by John Claudius Loudon and opened in 1832, contain several historic plant collections donated by plant hunters, and many notable trees. They are now the only independent botanical gardens in the UK, along with the Chelsea Physic Garden, and their glasshouses contain some unique plants. A guided tour of the gardens led by Wayne Williams, Head Gardener, will be included in our programme.
As space will be limited at this meeting, let Michael Charlesworth know as soon as possible your interest in attending, and on a strictly first-come-first served basis a reservation will be made for you.
The cost for the full day’s event, including morning refreshments, lunch and afternoon tea, will be £48. Full programme details and final payment request will be made at a later date, but to avoid disappointment, if you wish to attend the AGM contact Michael Charlesworth as soon as possible.
