Dutton Hall visit
Tuesday 25 June @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Set on a hillside, the gardens have extensive views over the Ribble valley and to the Pennines. As well as a National Collection of Pemberton hybrid musk roses, most of the families of roses are represented, with more than 200 varieties set out in the northern garden. Species, sweet briars and Scots roses are well represented. On the southern side of the house the enclosed garden is home to another fine selection of Old Roses in a more formal setting.
If you are interested please contact John West (details below).
As with previous northern summer outings, two visits to different gardens on consecutive days have been arranged – click here for details of the visit to Castle Bank on 26 June. Members travelling any significant distance might wish to find overnight accommodation in the delightful Yorkshire Dales countryside between these two venues.
