Meet for an evening tour of the rose garden. We will be welcomed at 6pm by Jonny Norton, head gardener, and Viki Gal, rose gardener, at the side entrance to the walled central rose garden. This contains the National Collection of pre-1900 shrub roses established by Graham Stuart Thomas. Brief introduction to the season’s roses and how the preceding year has been, plus any Q&As, followed by a free-flow visit to see the displays at our leisure.

Members will make their own way to Mottisfont Abbey ( entrance fee payable, free for NT members). The house closes at 5pm; the gardens remain open till 8pm on Thurs 7 June.
