The Hope
Morning: The Hope, near Ledbury. The home and private garden of Shane and Candy Connolly. Shane is the florist who orchestrated the flowers at the King and Queen’s coronation last year, and who is a great champion of ethical flowers and floristry. His garden is a charming and relaxed arrangement of ‘rooms’ around the sturdy farmhouse, with established old rambling roses and younger shrub roses, an appealing pond area, and a happy atmosphere. We are kindly invited to bring our picnics to enjoy in the garden. Alternatively there are good places to eat in the nearby picturesque town of Ledbury.
Little Malvern Court
Afternoon: Little Malvern Court, also near Ledbury. Until very recently this glorious rambling 15th Century prior’s hall has been lived in by members of the same family for 500 years. A recently refreshed rose garden, limpid ponds crammed with lilies, wonderful bulging topiary hedges, sweeping lawns and meadows, mature gardens lovingly maintained and brimming with romance. Tearoom open until 5pm.
The price for the day is £25 for members and £30 for non-members.
