Spring has sprung and rose bushes are starting to sprout, reminding us gardeners to get on with pruning.
In the south of the US, for new member Leo in New Orleans, this started in January. Leo says:
“I feel lucky to have the roses in Armstrong Park to care of. It’s been the perfect thing to do during the Covid lockdowns. We still have lots of blooms on the chinas and teas but I’ve started winter pruning because our goal here is to have pruning done by Valentine’s Day and it’ll take that long to finish. I took these photos in the park yesterday. Hope they cheer up those who don’t have blooms now.”
