Abundant Oxfordshire
Note: Bookings for the June 20 visits will close on Thursday June 12. After this date you will have to make your own arrangements.
Broughton Castle, near Banbury: We meet at 10:30 at Broughton Castle for a guided tour of the magical gardens that surround the sixteenth century moated and fortified Manor House. Old roses mingle sumptuously in densely planted mixed borders. Generous and imaginative plantings fill this venerable space. A simple lunch will be provided in the charming tea room.
Dean Manor, near Chipping Norton: In the afternoon we meet at 14:30 to explore the captivating six acre garden at Dean Manor. This elegant garden is rich in climbing and rambling roses, which festoon the old stone walls. The beautifully kept grounds include a cutting garden and a kitchen garden. We will take tea here before making our way home.
Note: The ticket price includes entry to Broughton Castle and to Dean Manor, as well as lunch at Broughton and tea at Dean Manor.
